Natasha Bedingfield

Back in January I photographed British pop sensation Natash Bedingfield for OK! magazine. She was an easy going subject- something I can't say for all celebrities. Her look is Carly Simon meets a blond Chrissy Hynde. Her sound is sort of R&B, but very pop. These photo were taken at great new downtown restaurant- Bar Martignetti. 

THe Fifth Floor- Jay Maisel's Other Work

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph the personal work of the legendary photographer Jay Maisel. See this interview to learn more about Jay. 

Most people who know about Jay knows that he lives in and works from a gorgeous turn of the century bank building on Bowery Street in lower Manhattan. What most people don't know is that the entire fifth floor is devoted to Jay's.... er, shall I say, collections. I spent about an hour up there, so these four images are just the tip of the iceberg. 

 

New Advertisement

I just completed a new ad for The New York Magazine Summer Wedding Issue. Usually, I'd have a friend lay out the piece, but I took the day to create it myself. Special thanks to my wife (and John Lennon) for writing the copy.

Monocot Grass Series

I've spent the day prepping some images to make a limited edition collection from my Monocot Series of photographs. These are entitled GRASSES. They will be 4x6 on heavy duty water color paper printed on the trusty old Epson 2200. Here are some favorites.
